Deer Lagoon - Whidbey Island Beach Stone Sterling Silver Pendant | Washington
Terra: Whidbey Island beach stone
Storia: At just under 60 miles in length, Whidbey Island in Washington State is the 4th longest and largest island in the contiguous United States. It is home to an abundance of picturesque beaches lined famous for agates and other unique beach stones. This green and black cabochon was cut by Donna (Cabochons by Donna) of Eagle Point, OR.
Necklace details: This unique, striped cabochon is bezel set with fine silver (99%) in a shadow box setting. The area surrounding the cabochon has been hammered to create a light texture. Three large silver granules create interest. The backplate features an imprint of a Useless Bay--a bay on the island--nautical chart with a focus on Deer Lagoon. The pendant is 1.3" W by 2.3" L and the chain is 23" long with a 2" extender. Outside of the fine silver bezel, all metal is sterling silver (92.5%) and all components are handmade by me, except for the chain.
