Willow Creek Jasper Sterling Silver Necklace | Idaho
Willow Creek Jasper Sterling Silver Necklace | Idaho
Terra: Willow Creek Jasper, Idaho
Storia: Willow Creek Jasper is found NE of Boise, near Eagle, Idaho. It often comes in pastel colors and sometimes has orbicular patterns in it. It is a hard jasper that takes a great polish! This cabochon was cut by SS Jewelry designs of Nevada, Iowa.
Necklace details: This gorgeous piece of Willow Creek Jasper is set in sterling silver with a topographic map for a backplate. The pattern in this particular stone has a great combination of pinks, purples, and rust. Adorning the pendant are various semi-precious stone beads including hessonite garnet, garnet, pink moonstone, and citrine. On one side of the chain is a hand-formed silver branch to reflect the name of the stone.
The backplate features a section of topographic map from Western Idaho, near where the stone is sourced. The silver has a dark patina, lightly burnished for a vintage look.
Everything but the chain has been hand-fabricated, starting with raw sterling silver sheet and wire. The rolo chain is 22” in length and has a chain extender, which allows you to adjust the chain up to 24” in length. The pendant is 1.75" W x 1" L.
